Polished, Epoxy & Stained Concrete Floors in Laval
A concrete floor is built to last, needs no carpet or grout, and works in kitchens, basements, sunrooms and open living areas. We start with a flat slab, then polish, coat with epoxy, stain or overlay it with a micro-topping. Every project gets a free written estimate and a firm finish date.

The foundation matters
Why Concrete Floor Prep Comes Before the Finish
A polished, epoxy, stained or micro-topping concrete floor is only as good as what sits underneath it. Any lippage, hollow spots or surface irregularities will show through the finish, no matter how well it is applied.
That is where self-leveling underlayment enters the picture. We pour a layer that brings an uneven or patched slab into spec before any finish goes down. If you are planning radiant heat in the floor, the tubing gets encased in the same underlayment step, so the heat sits between the slab and the finish.
Once the base is flat and sound, we can take the floor in any direction: a mirror-bright polished concrete finish, a seamless epoxy coating, a warm stained concrete surface, or a thin micro-topping overlay that gives tired concrete a new face without a tear-out.
The sequence
How a Concrete Floor Gets Built in Laval
-
Inspect the slab
We look at the existing concrete for moisture, cracks, flatness and any old coatings, then talk through which finish makes sense for the room and the slab condition.
-
Prep the surface
We grind or shot-blast to remove old finishes and contaminants, fix any cracks or damage, and pour self-leveling underlayment where the slab is out of spec.
-
Build the finish
We apply the chosen finish, polish, epoxy, stain or micro-topping, following the manufacturer system from primer through topcoat, building proper thickness in each coat.
-
Cure and handoff
The finish cures per spec, we walk the floor with you, and you get the care and maintenance steps that keep a concrete floor looking new for decades.
Finish selection
Picking the Right Floor Finish for Your Space
The room and your lifestyle guide the finish choice. A polished concrete floor shines in open-concept living areas and basements, hard and bright and easy to wipe clean, while an epoxy coating gives a seamless, chemical-resistant surface for utility rooms and workshops.
For warmth and visual depth, stained concrete uses acid or water-based dyes to add colour to the slab itself, perfect for kitchens and sunrooms where you want character without grout lines. A micro-topping overlay is the answer when the existing slab is sound but dated, a thin, seamless new surface that hides what was underneath.

Concrete Floor Questions Answered
Finishes, prep, cost and what concrete floors are like to live with in Laval.
Polished the whole main floor after a reno. It is bright, dead easy to clean, and the self-leveler they poured first means there is not a single high spot.
Epoxy floor in the basement utility room. Seamless, wipes clean, and they built it up in proper coats instead of one quick layer.
Stained the kitchen floor a warm brown. The colour has depth you do not get from tile, and there are no grout lines to scrub.
Micro-topping over an old cracked slab in the sunroom. New seamless surface for a fraction of a tear-out, and you cannot tell what was underneath.
