Ardex · Certified Installer
Trained Crews, Full Ardex System Warranty
Certification means the crew has completed Ardex training, installs to Ardex spec, and delivers the documentation that activates system-level warranty. Laval Concrete holds certified-installer status so your Ardex project gets full system coverage, not just product replacement.
- Ardex-trained installation crew
- System warranty, not product-only
- Documentation included at handoff
The certification difference
Why Ardex Certification Changes the Warranty
Without certification, Ardex products carry product warranty, which replaces the material if it fails. With certification, the warranty extends to system level, covering labor, removal, and the cost of correcting the failure. On a waterproofing or overlay project, that difference is substantial.
We maintain certification across the Ardex product range we use regularly. The crew has completed Ardex training on prep, primer, mix ratios, application method, and cure protocols for each system. That training translates to consistent execution and the documentation that supports system warranty at project close.
Certification carries through all our Ardex overlay work, waterproofing systems, and repair mortars. We also integrate certification into residential and commercial projects where Ardex is the specified system.

How Certification Flows Through Your Project
-
Identify the Ardex system
At quote, we confirm which Ardex system your project requires (overlay, self-leveling underlayment, repair mortar, or waterproofing) and verify that system is within our certification scope.
-
Execute to certified spec
Installation follows the Ardex specification for that system, including substrate prep, primer application, mix ratios, placement method, and curing conditions. The crew has been trained on each step.
-
Capture install documentation
During the install, we record as-built dimensions, batch records, installation photographs, and any required testing or measurements to support the warranty submission.
-
Register warranty and hand off
The complete documentation package is submitted to Ardex for system warranty registration. A copy is delivered to you at project close for your records and future reference.
Warranty scope explained
System Warranty vs. Product Warranty
Product warranty covers the cost of replacement material if the product fails. System warranty covers the labor, removal, and correction cost if the installed system fails. For commercial projects, the difference is significant. A failed waterproofing membrane under product warranty gets you new membrane; under system warranty, you get the labor to remove the failed system, install the replacement, and restore any overlying work.
Our certification scope includes the Ardex products we install regularly. When you coordinate with our self-leveling underlayment or repair mortar services, the certification status applies across the project. Check with us at quote time for less common Ardex products.

Ardex Certification Questions Answered
What certification covers, how warranty differs, training scope, and project documentation.
System warranty on our Ardex waterproofing install. The cert paperwork was delivered at handoff; if anything fails, the warranty covers the actual cost. Real value for commercial work.
They are the only certified Ardex installer we work with on overlay projects. The warranty submission is part of the install package, not an extra. That changes the value of the install.
Documentation during install was thorough. Photos, batch records, dimensional verification. Our internal compliance file got the warranty paperwork with no follow-up needed.
They explained the product-warranty vs system-warranty difference clearly at quote time. Made the value of cert install obvious. Worth the small premium.
