How Mapei Waterproofing Gets Installed in Laval
Assess and spec the system
We evaluate the substrate, application (wet room, balcony, below-grade), and any tile-trade coordination. The right Mapei product (Mapelastic Smart, AquaDefense, etc.) and Mapeflex detail products are confirmed in writing.
Prepare the substrate
Concrete is cleaned, cracks are repaired with compatible Mapei repair product, and joints are isolated with Mapeflex tape or sealant. The surface is ready for primer and membrane.
Prime and apply membrane
Mapei primer is applied per spec, then Mapelastic membrane is mixed and rolled or sprayed to engineered thickness. Mapeflex detail is installed at every corner, drain, and penetration as the field is laid.
Cure and finish
The system cures per Mapei schedule. Protection layer (tile adhesive, traffic coating, or curing compound) is applied per project spec. The waterproofing is handed off ready for service.
